2020-2021
Welcome to Tosa Tri-Parish Children's Ministry!
UPDATED 9/8/2020: In planning for the upcoming 2020-2021 children's ministry year, there were several key themes that came to the surface as we plan in the midst of uncertainty.
One of these themes was flexibility. Your family is going through a lot right now, so we wanted to support your family in providing a way to build up a life of faith within your home on your schedule.
Another theme was faith at home. Until we can safely be in person for catechesis, your family is invited to bring catechesis into your home.
Lastly, after we return, we desire to move forward with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Our opportunity for family formation this year will help lay a strong foundation as we move forward.
See below for more information on our Family Formation called "Cornerstone", online preparation for First Communion, and our very preliminary plan on reopening in-person ministry opportunities.
This will be an unprecedented year and I thank you in advance for your flexibility and support as we navigate it together.
In Christ,
Ms. Sam

Cornerstone
Family Formation
"The family is the salt of the earth and the light of the world,
it is the leaven of society."
-Pope Francis
October 2020-May 2021
$50 per family
Grow as a family in your faith this year by bringing the themes of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd into your home. Each month, you will pick up an "Atrium at Home" kit and do the activities provided. We will then have an online celebration and prayer time together using those materials at the end of each month. Hopefully, we can gather in person for these celebrations later in the year.
Here is an overview of the "Atrium at Home" kit themes for each month:
October-The Prayer Table Kit
November-The Liturgical Year Kit
December-The Advent & Christmas Kit
January-The Parables Kit
February-The Burying Alleluias Kit
March-The Lent Kit
April-The Easter Kit
May-The Baptism Kit
Kits will be customized to the age level(s) of your children in grades K3-5th grade.
online
first communion preparation
"In an ever changing world the Holy Eucharist is a constant reminder of the great reality God's changeless love."
-Saint Teresa of Calcutta
October 2020-May 2021
$50 per child
Children who are in 2nd grade and above who are baptized and have not received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are invited to participate, with their families, in our preparation program for First Communion.
There will be monthly videos sent focusing on the themes of growing as a disciple of Jesus, especially through prayer and receiving the Sacraments. There will be additional activities to complete by the child to aid in their preparation along with virtual group calls.
In Spring 2021, there will hopefully be in-person retreat opportunities to complement this preparation.
