Summer Session

Welcome to the Summer School Session hosted by Christ King and Saint Bernard Parishes going through the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults.  The intention of these sessions is to grow in knowledge of Church teaching, to gain confidence in your understanding of God, and feel comfortable in your ability to explain and defend the Church.  The sessions will tentatively start online meeting via Zoom on Monday evenings June to August from 6:30pm - 8pm.  They will hopefully move to in person sessions at the Christ King Parish Center in the Mary dining room.

What can I expect the CCC Summer Series will look like?

6:30 – 6:45pm Short formation talk recapping the sections that were read

6:45 – 7:55pm Discussion with your group focusing on the discussion questions from each section.  A majority of your discussion will come from your weekly responses in the Reader’s Journal

7:55pm Closing announcements and prayer

Participation Materials

United States Catholic Catechism for Adults (Please note! We are using the red, 2010 version, ISBN 978-1-57455-450-2) and the Reader’s Journal for the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults (ISBN 978-1-60137-003-7)

What if I have to miss an evening of the CCC Summer Series?

This is totally fine!  Life happens!  We ask that you attend as many sessions as you are able in order to keep up with the course and for continuity in your discussion group.  We suggest trying not to miss more than 4 sessions throughout the summer.
