On Nov. 6, 46 young people will be Confirmed with the Holy Spirit and they need your prayers! A group of parishioners will begin the Novena to the Holy Spirit on Sunday, October 29. We will pray a short prayer for them daily for nine days, ending on Nov 6.

You can download the novena by clicking the below button. Or, you can scroll down the page to find it.

Novena to the Holy Spirit

You’re invited to join our youth ministry prayer team in praying for
the 46 young people who will be Confirmed on November 6, 2023!

A novena is a prayer, or set of prayers that are said for a series of 9 days. The original novena commemorates the 9 days that the Apostles spent in prayer between Jesus’ Ascension and Pentecost. “They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.” – Acts 1:14

Please pray for:

  • Our Candidates – that they are receptive to the grace they will receive and that they allow the Holy Spirit to work in their lives.

  • Our Sponsors – in gratitude for their role, for their intentions, and pray that they too may experience a renewal of their relationship with the Holy Spirit.

  • Bishop Haines, our celebrant – for his vocation, holiness, and personal intentions.

  • Families & Community – we pray that the Holy Spirit may be poured out into the homes of our candidates and into our parishes and entire community.

Come, Holy Spirit Prayer (prayed daily)

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

And so, we ask with humility and a beggar’s heart for Your gift of Charity within us. The great charity of all the the host of Saints is only made possible by your power, Oh Divine Spirit.
